The wild beauty of the West Coast

Ten miles north of Ullapool, turn left onto the winding single track road, passing Ben More and Stac Pollaidh, leading to the Coigach Peninsula, Achiltibuie, and Polbain. Polbain and Coigach is an ideal centre from which to explore the North West Highlands or just stay and relax among magnificent coastal scenery. Our location has great panoramic views out over the sea and Summer Isles. The views change with the light from hour to hour but will never fail to impress! Gables Cottage has a garden to appreciate the views, smells, sense and sounds all around. The sunsets and even occassional northern lights can be amazing! We are surrounded by beaches, hills, coast, mountains - some well known such as Staic Pollaidh and Suilven. No matter what your level of activity, there is plenty to see and do.
